Meet The Artist
Hello! My name is Breckelle.
Art has always been a part of me—it feels like something that’s in my bones. From a young age, I’ve been drawn to creative expression. But it wasn’t until the summer of 2021 that I truly found my passion for ceramics. From the moment I began working with clay, I was captivated by the process. Each piece requires patience and multiple time-consuming steps, but what some may see as tedious, I find calming and meditative. Ceramics allow me to merge my creativity with a deep sense of inner peace.
My connection to nature is what drives my work. Whether it's the colors of Colorado sunsets, the wildflowers, or a spring swallowtail butterfly, I’m constantly inspired by the beauty around me. These elements show up in my art, grounding each piece in the natural world.
Butterflies, in particular, have always been a powerful symbol in my life and have made their way into my art for years. Their incredible transformation—from caterpillar to chrysalis to butterfly—reminds me of our own journeys as humans. We go through phases of breaking down and rebuilding, emerging from challenges with a new sense of self. The butterfly’s resilience and beauty after such a transformation are things I often reflect on, both in my life and in my creative process.
